Playback Rehearsal Room is a private band rehearsal space at Playback Studios in Fort Lauderdale, serving musicians throughout Broward County and South Florida. Rehearsals are available by appointment from 5 PM to 5 AM. The room includes PA, mixer, microphones and drums so bands can focus on bringing the instruments, amps and personal gear they actually use.
Room rules
- Standard bookings accommodate up to 10 people
- Groups over 10 should call before booking
- Food and drinks stay off the carpeted instrument area
- Vaping is allowed inside the rehearsal room
- Smoking is not permitted indoors; direct outdoor access is available
- Setup, breakdown and load-out count toward booked time
Rescheduling
Deposits are non-refundable. You may reschedule one time with at least 24 hours’ notice and keep your deposit. Requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice and no-shows forfeit the deposit.

Rehearsal Room FAQ
How much does the rehearsal room cost?
$35 per hour with a 2-hour minimum. Discounted 3-, 4-, 5- and 6-hour blocks are available.
Is there a minimum booking?
Yes. Rehearsal bookings have a 2-hour minimum.
How does the $25 deposit work?
The $25 deposit reserves your rehearsal time and is applied toward the total price. It is not an additional fee. The remaining balance is due at the beginning of the rehearsal.
What equipment is included?
The room includes Alto PA speakers, a mixer, microphones, microphone stands and standard cabling, plus a drum kit with hardware and kick pedal.
Are cymbals included?
No. Cymbals are not included in the standard room rental.
Can I rent cymbals?
Yes. Playback’s cymbal package is available for $10 per rehearsal.
Do you provide guitar or bass amps?
Not currently. Guitarists and bassists should bring their own amps.
Can I bring my own gear?
Yes. The room is primarily bring-your-own gear. Bring your instruments, amps, pedals, cymbals and any specialty equipment your setup requires.
What hours is the room available?
The rehearsal room is available by appointment from 5 PM to 5 AM.
How many people can use the room?
Standard bookings accommodate up to 10 people.
Can more than 10 people attend?
Possibly. Call Playback Studios first. Larger groups may be approved depending on the rehearsal and setup.
Are food and drinks allowed?
Yes. Food and drinks are allowed, but they must stay off the carpeted instrument area and remain on the black-floor side of the room.
Can I vape inside?
Yes. Vaping is allowed inside the rehearsal room.
Can I smoke inside?
No. Smoking is not permitted indoors; direct outdoor access is available from the room.
Does setup count toward my time?
Yes. Setup, breakdown and load-out are part of your booked rehearsal time.
